A DAF is a flexible, tax-efficient way to support the causes you care about with immediate and maximum tax benefits and the ability to separate the timing of your tax deduction from your charitable giving.  Grants can then be made on your own schedule, allowing you to plan your giving for greater impact.

Contributions

Once a contribution has been posted to the fund, the gift acceptance letter will be available in the portal and can be downloaded.

For non-cash contributions, such as appreciated securities, the gift acceptance letter will identify the asset received, the quantity, and the date of receipt, but it will not include a dollar value. In accordance with standard nonprofit practice, the value of non-cash gifts is not stated on the acknowledgment letter. However, the recognized contribution amount will be displayed in the portal.

Grants

Once the DAF is set up and funded, you (and your financial advisor, if given the ability to do this), can recommend grants and grantees in the online portal.

Grants can be set up as one-time or recurring, with full, partial or anonymous recognition.

Grant payments are issued directly to the recipient organization, either by check or electronically via ACH, if the organization is enrolled to receive electronic payments through iGiftFund.

Quarterly Statements

iGiftFund provides quarterly statements.

Depending on your custodian's capabilities, your financial advisor may be able to arrange for duplicate account statements or provide third-party view-only access to your fund’s investment account.

Grant checks are mailed directly to the charitable organization and include a grant letter.

Fees

Our fees are tiered, starting at 45 basis points (bps) for the first $500,000 (minimum $600 annually).
